All Emma mattresses lie in the medium firmness range to ensure correct spinal alignment and support. On a scale from 1 (firm) to 10 (soft). The Emma Luxe Cooling is a 5 (firm) mattress while the Emma NextGen Cooling is a 7.5 (medium)
