Pull up the drawbridge. Because our Escape mattress is designed to be, well, just that. An escape from the stresses of the day. Your own oasis of cushioned comfort.

Our tech team tested so many natural materials for their ability to cushion, support, breathe and last. But the hero of the hour was a familiar classic: very soft, very springy, premium British wool, famed for its ability to keep you cool when it’s warm, and warm when it’s cool. Those sheep are cleverer than they look.

The other stars of this soothing show are Yorkshire grown hemp and flax; they’ve been renowned since ancient times for their amazing moisture-wicking ability and their enduring resilience. Which is why we believe your mattress will feel as comfortable at the end of its life as it does at the beginning.

2. QuadCore™ spring base

Few people know more about springs than our mattress engineers. So when they told us they’d created a new, even better design, we were all ears.

Usually mattress springs are connected to each other in rows or large groups. So any movement one spring makes is passed on to the next, and the next after that. Across the entire mattress. But our clever QuadCore™ springs are grouped just four at a time, disrupting any ripple effect and limiting motion transfer to encourage more tailored, accurate support.

But that’s not all. Fixing springs with glue can damage them and inhibit movement, so the team were excited to discover another way of connecting them: sonic welding. It sounds cool, and it is – this way the springs themselves remain untouched, undamaged and free to move individually.

3. Enhanced support & airflow

Our patented spring technology is key to the award-winning sleep we’re famous for. So we’ve added a second layer of them to the Escape mattress. Because in our book, more springs means more support and more air circulation.

So, apart from 2,500 of our titanium alloy Aerocoil® micro springs already nestling in the upper layers, the Escape features an extra 1,000 high carbon steel springs further down the mattress. Like the Aerocoils® they’re micro but mighty, helping provide extra support for your heavier bits such as the hips and shoulders, and encouraging the flow of fresh air through the mattress.

4. Home grown. Home sewn.

Our Earth mattresses start life on a Yorkshire farm, not a factory. That’s where many of the crops and materials we use are grown, harvested, and processed.

The factory where our experienced craftsmen and women work their magic is in Yorkshire too. And although we might use high-tech machines to give us the precise measurements and weights for every layer, it’s these highly skilled teams that stitch and tuft the layers, feeling the mattress, checking the stitching. The way it’s been done for centuries.

Care

• Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to remove surface dust on a weekly basis. To avoid material distortion or fading, keep your upholstered furniture away from direct sunlight. Any spills must be blotted with a soft, dry cloth or paper towel as soon as they occur. Do not rub stains or spills and work them from the outside edge inwards to avoid stains spreading. If in doubt, seek professional assistance.

This item will be delivered directly from our supplier . Please ensure you provide a mobile phone number with your order, as you will receive a message, email or call from the courier with delivery information and times. All damages and discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Goods should be returned in their original packaging where possible. Please do not dispose of your old bed or mattress until the new one arrives and you are happy with it. UK Mainland delivery only.

All bed frames supplied by the Supplier will benefit from a 200 Night Sleep Trial in terms not materially different than those set out in the Supplier’s e-commerce website Terms and Conditions (which may be reviewed at https://simbasleep.com/pages/terms) at Clause 8A of those Terms and Conditions, save that the extended right of cancellation shall be for 200 days.

Simba guarantees to replace any bed frame, as may be determined by Simba’s independent inspection agent, to be exhibiting a manufacturing defect in respect of the frame within 10 years of the delivery date, or any bed frame exhibiting a manufacturing defect in respect of the fabric cover of the bed frame within 2 years of the delivery date, subject to the full terms set out at Clause 12 https://simbasleep.com/pages/terms
