To help put Sleeptember to bed, we asked our newest home-and-style guru her tips on getting a good night’s sleep. Look out for her favourite PJs, bath-time essentials and how she relaxes on a Sunday.
Hey, Shauna! Let’s start with the basics. How many hours of sleep do you aim to get per night?
I almost always get at least 8 hours, I can even sleep up to 10 hours if I need it. My most luxurious bedding to cosy up in is the 800 thread-count duvet from The Lyndon Company.

Do you have any secrets to winding down in the evenings?
I turn my phone on airplane mode and leave it to charge in the kitchen at around 8pm – no screen time after dark! You also can’t beat a bubble bath and a hot cup of ginger tea. I’ll add the ESPA Fitness Bath Salts, too – the aromatic fragrance ensures stay feeling relaxed long past bath time.
Do you have a nighttime skincare routine?
I’m sure to double cleanse, followed by a nice serum, eye cream and lip balm. I also LOVE using the Liz Earle Superskin™ Alt-Retinol Paste – just massage into your skin before bed!
Do you prefer white noise, brown noise or total silence?
I actually don’t mind a bit of background noise, I quite like falling asleep with the TV on, too.
Let’s settle this! Fluffy PJs or silky PJs?
Silky, any day! The Berega style from Soho Home is my current favourite – I love the oversized fit and mother of pearl buttons..
Soho Home Berega Silk Pyjamas – £149
What’s your favourite breakfast for a busy day ahead?
I’m a black coffee and a protein smoothie kinda gal.
Can you describe your ultimate relaxing Sunday?
Loose fitting clothes all day are essential, plus an afternoon bubble bath with Virgin River on repeat. And my Boy Smells Purple Kush candle, of course!
