It’s that most wonderful time of the year again. The cold weather means you’re allowed to drink mulled wine at 4 in the afternoon and it’s also acceptable to eat mass amounts of food and not feel too bad about yourself. Christmas meals and parties abound, but what would the festive period be without visiting a few Christmas Markets?
With snacks, beer and trinkets to get, why wouldn’t you visit a few Christmas markets this month? (Unless you really hate crowds, in which case we totally understand your pain…)
Greenwich Christmas Market
Visit Greenwich market this year and you can even visit Santa Claus as well! (Though it may look a little weird for grown adult to be sitting on Santa’s lap.) There are also Greenwich printmakers to check out too! See here for more
Southbank Christmas Market
Perfect for you if you’re a cider drinker this Christmas. With their Rekorderlig Cider Lodge, it’ll keep you merry until the early hours of the morning. As well as this they have a bump roller disco and a nofit state circus act. Yeah, it all sounds pretty good to us. See more here
Tate Modern Christmas Market
For lots of trinkets, incredible foods, and everything else you can imagine. This is the one for you if you like artsy Christmases.
Camden Christmas Market
With events coming at you left, right and centre, Camden market is the place for you if you want to be surprised every time you go there. With it being full of surprises, it’ll definitely keep you interested in what can be a rather samey period! See more here
Paris Christmas Market
If you are fortunate enough to be abroad this Christmas month, then you should definitely visit the Marche De Noel in Paris this Christmas. A beautiful and different change of scenery, you’re going to be Instagramming the whole way. See more here
Cologne Christmas Market
Why not visit the original German Market in Germany this year? If you happen to be in Germany, the Cologne Christmas Market is one place you’ll want to visit, from the Gothic architecture and enough beer and Currywurst to make you burst, it’s a must. See more here
Gothenburg, Sweden Christmas Market
Liseburg’s Christmas market in Gothenburg, Sweden is going to be a magical tapestry of Christmas lights, food, and drinks with it taking four million fairy lights just to light up the trees. You know it’s going to be good! See more here
