Here she gives us the scoop on the biggest event in the Cosmopolitan calender, FashFest, which we are thrilled to announce we are sponsoring.
FashFest is a week-long fashion event from 15-19th September.
Excited? Us too.
So Charlotte, what is Cosmo FashFest and how did it come about?
In 2013, Cosmopolitan launched its first ever, luxury fashion bi annual, entitled Cosmopolitan FASHION.
We know that fashion is the main reason why our readers buy Cosmopolitan so it was always my ambition to create more fashion content for them in a beautiful, luxurious way.
The bi annual gives the Cosmo Fashion team additional pages to write more in-depth fashion features and dedicated brand stories, as well as more gorgeous main fashion shoots.
The third edition is on sale during on 16th September which is the week of FashFest
So for Cosmopolitan, 5 fashion events in 5 days was the next step in giving an interactive experience and firmly putting our readers on the FRONT ROW – and this is how FashFest was born.
What’s the trickiest aspect of pulling off such an event?
Juggling the huge amount of people involved…readers, retailers, beauty brands, models, venues, production suppliers, press, bloggers, celebrities and making sure everyone is happy – it’s like hosting your own party!
What will BrandAlley’s involvement be at the event?
BrandAlley are taking part in the much-coveted lingerie show (Monday 15th September) and the biggest retail event in the UK, the ultimate catwalk event on Thursday night (18th September).
Our Fashion teams have been busy selecting their favourite BrandAlley pieces that will feature on the catwalk and be ready for readers to buy the next day!
Who can we expect to see there and most importantly, how can we attend?
We have the gorgeous Pixie Lott, who we recently featured in the October issue of Cosmopolitan & Cosmopolitan FASHION taking part in #FashFest as well as influential bloggers and industry experts.
I am really excited about uncovering the secret styling tips from celebrity make- up artist, Lisa Valencia, celebrity stylist to Cheryl Cole & Victoria Beckham, and Nicole Scherzinger’s hairdresser! (Tuesday 16th September)

For those not in London who want to keep up with BrandAlley and all things Cosmo FashFest, what can they do?
We are hosting the biggest ever cyber shopping night on the Wednesday evening – we are live-streaming all content from Cosmopolitan HQ.
Expect to see us trialling the latest beauty products, live ‘how-to-videos’ as well as live, interactive social feeds – get your questions ready! As well as this, there will be exclusive flash sales, discounts and competitions – I am saving up right now!
Lastly – what are you most looking forward to?
Seeing everybody’s hard work come together on the Thursday night especially! This huge event will be a show-stopper, I am sure of it! It takes such dedication and hard work to make these events happen, so the party on the Friday night will be a much-celebrated evening! Oh, and bagging myself some bargains on BrandAlley’s cyber shopping event…I hear it’s going to be a real fashionista’s dream!
