London Cocktail Week
Over the past seven days, London Cocktail Week has been shaking things up around town. Today’s the final day, so it’s the perfect excuse to join the celebrations of our capital’s cocktail culture. Expect tasting masterclasses, pop-up bars, tastings pop-up shops and parties mostly centred around Covent Garden’s Seven Dials area. Chanel’s Little Black Jacket Exhibition
This stylish photographic exhibition exploring the versatility and timelessness of the iconic Chanel black jacket has just opened at the Saatchi Gallery. All the images are taken from a stunning new book, ‘The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld. Head over to the Saatchi Gallery, where you can see 113 photographs by Karl Lagerfeld, portraying the little black jacket modelled by famous friends of the House of Chanel, like Stella Tennant and Lily Allen. Running simultaneously with the exhibition, window displays in CHANEL’s Bond Street, Sloane Street and Brompton Cross boutiques are showcasing a selection of jackets from the latest collections. The Vintage Village Sabrina Fair
Back in the 1950s, a beautiful young lady from Stockport, simply known by her first name, Sabrina, became one of the most photographed women of her era. Today, in tribute to their homegrown, blonde bombshell movie star, Stockport is holding the fabulous Vintage Village Sabrina Fair. There’ll be all sorts of glamorous vintage fashion on sale, plus a style competition, a gallery of some of the best Sabrina shots from her career, live music and lots more stylish happenings.
Great British Bake Off recipes
On Tuesday, it’s the final of the Great British Bake Off between amateur bakers – James, Brendan and John! If you’ve been tempted by James’s macaroons dusted with chilli sugar, Brendan’s gâteau St Honoré or John’s Asian spice crackers, why don’t you have a go at making them yourself and see just how good these guys are?
