Country Living Christmas Fair – London
If you’re quick, you can catch the last fabulous hours of the Country Living Christmas Fair in Islington, which ends at 3pm today. It’s a festive extravaganza with a dazzling display of original gifts by more than 400 talented artisans and craftspeople from all over the UK. Plus you’ll find hundreds of stylish Christmas decorating ideas and all sorts of tasty traditional treats. It’s a magical day out.
Junk in my Trunk Vintage Event
Around Hoxton today? Head over to the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen, where a free vintage shopping event is taking place between 12.30-4.30pm. Fifty suitcases overflowing with quality, secondhand treasures will be laid out for you to snap up unique bargains, including vintage artwork, bric-a-brac, fashion, jewellery and vinyl. And it’s not just about a rummage through the jumble – there’s also music, dancing and food on offer.
Crafts for Christmas Exhibition – NEC Birmingham
Over at the NEC Birmingham, there’s another festive-themed spectacular happening today. At Crafts for Christmas, you’ll find a wonderful array of one-off, gorgeous gifts you wouldn’t usually find on the high street, plus you can meet the gifted craftsmen and women behind the designs. There will also be craft demonstrations from the Prima team, special show offers and lots more. Plus, if you go to ICHF Events, you can buy a ticket to include two other great shows on at the NEC at the same time – Hobbycrafts and Arts Materials Live. That’s three for the price of one. Bargain!
Leeds Christkindelmarkt Traditional German Christmas Market
There’s also a wonderful, continental Christmas Market on in Yorkshire today. Leeds Christkindelmarkt is a little piece of Germany in the heart of the city centre, with traditional wooden chalet stalls run by traders who’ve come over from Germany. And they’ve brought with them with all sorts of seasonal gift ideas, decorations, handcrafted toys, speciality foods and German delicacies like gluhwein, stollen and gingerbread.
Make your own Advent calendar
Fancy having a go at making your own Advent calendar? There’s a really savvy idea for a gorgeous, easy-to-make one made from a pinboard, clothes pegs, small envelopes, fabric and craft paper on All About You. Once you’ve made it, simply add your favourite sweet treats and enjoy!
