Talking of gorgeous underwear…
Lingerie Française Exhibition
All will be revealed in this fascinating, free retrospective at the London Film Museum. Well, nearly all, anyway! Looking back over the past 100 years, the seductive Lingerie Française Exhibition celebrates the legendary design, innovation and savoir-faire of French underwear. 260 pieces of influential and iconic lingerie will be on display. Video installations will play vintage footage of ads, film and photos. Plus a life-sized ‘transforming-holographic striptease’ will expose the changing female silhouette in style.
The Decorative Fair
Looking for statement pieces for your home before you hunker down for winter? Then don’t miss the last day of the hugely popular Decorative Fair at Battersea Park. You’ll find everything from opulent show-stoppers, painted furniture and unusual antiques to lighting, mirrors, quirky accessories and original works of art. Click here to find out more and watch a video of the Fair.
Great British Walk 2012
If you fancy blowing away some cobwebs, pull on your walking boots and take part in the National Trust’s Great British Walk. It’s all about showing your love for our amazing countryside. So, get out there, enjoy the fiery colours of the season and kick about in fallen leaves. To find a great walk or event near you, go to the National Trust’s website. And if you share your favourite walk with the rest of us, you could win a stay a National Trust holiday cottage and have your walk published in their collection of the nation’s greatest walks!
Autumn colour in a vase
For a quick and stylish way to update your home with autumn colour, raid your garden or somebody’s else’s – preferably with their permission! Gather whatever appeals – like grasses, late summer flowers, seedheads, leaves, rosehips and berries. Then display everything in an assortment of jugs, vases and bottles in different rooms. Simple, savvy and gorgeous!
Happy Sunday
