It’s Showtime: Zoe Lem’s Vintage Wedding Fair

Planning a vintage-style wedding this year or next? Head over to the iconic Art Deco venue, Bloomsbury Ballroom for It”s Showtime: Zoe Lem’s Vintage Wedding Fair. This is a fabulous showcase of glamorous, vintage weddings style with a twist, because Zoe Lem also sets out to help you choose the best era for you – based on your body shape. So, you can learn how to hold your posture like a 1930s’ bride would have done, how to create the perfect victory roll, how to dance like they did in the 1940s and much more. To watch a short video and for more information more, go to Zoe Lem’s website.

The Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating & Baking Show, London

Last month was Manchester’s turn. Now Cake International’s brilliant Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating & Baking Show returns to ExCel London for its second year. Don’t mss this inspiring spring event, where you can indulge your love of all things cake to your heart’s content. There’s lots to see and do, with everything from demonstrations, workshops and competitions to all the supplies you could ever imagine.  And stars of the cake world will be around too, including Mich Turner from the Little Venice Cake Company, showing off her skills in the Bakery Theatre.

Glamour at the Fashion Museum, Bath

Pottering around Bath today? Take a detour to the Fashion Museum to see their dazzling ‘Glamour’ display. This bijou exhibition invites you to be inspired by the glitz and glamour of eveningwear over the last 100 years. It’s also your chance to get up really close to 22 showstopping evening gowns and cocktail dresses from top fashion designers like Norman Hartnell, Hardy Amies, Zandra Rhodes and Holly Fulton.

Clever sewing tricks

Have you been watching BBC2’s new, spring crafting must-see, The Great British Sewing Bee? If not, you can catch the first two episodes on BBC iPlayer. Plus, you can pick up brilliant video tips on the show’s BBC2 webpages from one of the judges, May Martin of the Women’s Institute. ‘May Martin’s How To’ includes a really clever way to take up jeans to the right length and still keep the original hem, how to customise a high street dress and more. Well worth a look!

Happy Sunday
