Opening the Olympics exhibition at the Museum of London
Or how about reliving last year’s amazing summer of sport at a free new display at the Museum of London? Opening the Olympics is a fascinating showcase of objects and costumes from London 2012 – many on view for the first time since the Games closed. These iconic items include Tom Daley’s Union Jack swimming trunks, the yellow jersey that Bradley Wiggins wore in the opening ceremony, an Olympic torch from the official relay and much more.
BBC Gardeners’ World Live
If you’ve got a green-fingered father, tempt him away from his tomato plants with a day out at BBC Gardeners’ World Live at the NEC in Birmingham. The UK’s most friendly and entertaining horticultural show is bursting with award-winning gardens and dazzling displays of plants and flowers, plus all your favourite gardening experts will be there, like Monty Don, and Carol Klein. Even better, your BBC Gardeners’ World Live tickets include entry to the BBC Good Food Show Summer, which is on at the same time, same venue!
