We’re fortunate to see more and more strong, inspirational women on the world stage, yet whilst we look up to powerhouses including Kamala Harris, Jacinda Ardern, AOC, Amal Clooney, The Queen(!), it’s a fact that some of the most awe-inspiring women are much closer to home.
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate them all – the Michelle Obamas and the mums. Our teachers, our mentors, our professors and our carers. So, we want to open a dialogue. Who’s a formidable female figure in your life who encourages you to both survive and thrive? How has that shaped you and your character? How do you feel about feminism today?
If knowledge is power, this International Women’s Day 2021 – and indeed every day – we vow to continue soaking it all in, gaining perspective, taking inspirations to drive and motivate ourselves, to push the limits, to challenge those around us. As Laurel Thatcher Ulrich once said – ‘Well behaved women seldom make history’.
