Retro hairstyles were everywhere at last week’s Golden Globe Awards, from pretty Taylor Swift’s up-do to Jennifer Lopez’s sideswept wavy hair…
While there were many actresses sporting the Old Hollywood glamour trend, there was one actress who dared to differ – by wearing her hair in a long striking braid.
Actress Lucy Liu was both gorgeous and extremely feminine when she strolled down the red carpet at last week’s Golden Globe Awards. Wearing a Marie Antoinette inspired gown and slightly messy braids in her hair; we think she looked every bit the stunning Hollywood star.
Here’s how you can recreate the look:
- Prep dry hair with a small amount of Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier style primer.
- Apply hairspray to create texture.
- Create a deep side part, and French-braid down each side of the head, merging them at the bottom, slightly to the side so the braid hangs over a shoulder.
- Placing one braid over the other, flip the ends of the braids through the hole of two braids.
- Merge the two braids into one fishtail at the bottom.
- Finish the look with hairspray.
