Two of the biggest faces in fashion modelling are appearing to break the internet again with their latest issue of British Vogue. For the first time ever, Bella, 21 and Gigi, 22, appear on dual covers of a magazine, all shot by Steven Meisel. The siblings also did a (little weird) image of them both intertwined with each other shot in black and white.
For their solo cover shoots they were all dressed up in gold chainmail Versace gowns, instantly recognisable from their SS18 show in Milan. Where other original supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and many more rejoiced in the celebrated of Gianni Versace, the founding designer of Versace.
The sisters are styled by Joe McKenna, with hair by Guido Palau and makeup – a radiant, golden glow to match the golden gowns and typography – by Vogue’s new Beauty Editor-at-Large, Pat McGrath.
The March issue which is Gigi’s third British Vogue cover, also features an interview with designer Miuccia Prada on the past, present and future of the Italian fashion house as well as an insight into the secret life of Picasso, as told by the artist’s granddaughter.
And in an accompanying interview by Gigi, she describes her sisterly bond with Bella and how protective she has always been of her. See the full shoot in the March issue of Vogue. These two covers will surely be one of the best covers of British Vogue so far in their history, that has had a newly appointed Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, to bring British Vogue into a more youthful and conscious light.
