Over the last few years, the humble Christmas jumper has experienced a surprising resurgence. No longer viewed as the cringe-worthy hallmark of embarrassing relatives, the delightfully garish and kitsch knitwear has become an essential part of every festive wardrobe. Its evolution may be due in part to the popularity of ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater parties’ stateside and charity initiatives such as Save the Children’s ‘Christmas jumper’ day.
