BALLY Menswear
Timeless yet timely is how luxury men’s footwear and clothing brand Bally coin their craftmanship and product offering for the modern man.
For over 150 years, Bally has been inspired by the open embrace of life spent living in harmony with nature. Swiss brothers Carl & Fritz Bally recognised how offering intimate ideas of luxury and skillful, time-honed techniques could (and did) give way to one of the most powerful European fashion houses.
Beginning with the sophisticated focus of footwear, the Bally brothers have mastered the fusion of iconic Swiss design with materials that are build to endure city and country living. In 1951, Max Bally, grandson of Carl, created Bally’s most iconic shoes- the men’s Bally Scribe. As these shoes were created for the aristocratic members of Hotel Scribe’s Jockey Club, that’s how they got their name!
In 1948, Bally produced the innovating curling footwear for the Swiss national team at the Winter Olympic Games in St. Moritz. Thanks to Bally’s early sponsorship of the 20th century Swiss expeditions, the Reindeer-Himalaya boots were born, and famously worn by Tenzing Norgay during the first-ever successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953.
Today the brand covers much more than fancy footwear for gentlemen’s clubs or mountain-scaling shoes for adventurers. Bally for men now offer business and messenger bags as well as men’s backpacks and tote bags. The ready-to-wear collection for men also includes tracksuits and outerwear, and let’s not forget the ever-growing collection of accessories and travel pieces.
