Inspired by the attractive cleanliness and effortlessness of Parisian style, this is a brand that markets itself as being “Presque Parisienne” (almost Parisian.) It was founded by Yasmin Sewell and Kyle Robinson and named for the artist Cecile, an artist living in Paris during the 1960’s.

Originally a T-shirt brand, the designers continue to riff on these beginnings, making soft cotton tees adorned with slogans that often play on both the French and English languages. Sweatshirts are similarly designed with hoods and crew necks, while classic denim shapes are playfully decorated in DIY-style patterns.

With a clean, polaroid-style Instagram feed to go along with the iconic vibrancy of its clothes, Être Cécile has built a devoted following of cool women with the ability to make casualwear look like couture.
