Free People
If it’s perfect festival dressing you’re after (and let’s face it, isn’t everyone?), Free People is the label for you. In its bohemian-inspired collections of dresses and more, you’ll find the building blocks for crafting the ultimate Coachella outfit.
As is evident in the very bones of this effortlessly cool, boho brand, Free People was founded in the 1970’s. Dick Hayne’s West Philadelphian store took young people under its wing, giving them not only beautiful clothes, but a way of life to pursue.
As the business grew, Urban Outfitters was born, yet Free People still stood out as a fiercely independent aesthetic. Haynes split the businesses, and, in 1984, new life was breathed into the original boho brand.
By 2001, it had become a focused brand that promoted a lifestyle as well as a collection of clothes. Tough but romantic; sweet but tomboy, these seventies-hearted pieces are always perfect additions to any woman’s wardrobe.
