A Taiwanese-American designer born in 1984, Wang found success early thanks to his taking courses at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London as only a teenager. By the time he was attending university, the designer already had contacts in British and American Vogue. He quit his studies in order to pursue his own brand, and achieved a glowing report in the New York Times for his collection of jumpers at just 21.

By 23, he had launched his first full ready-to-wear collection of cardigans, jersey T-shirts, blazers and empire-waist dresses. Personified as the ultimate Model Off-Duty brand, Alexander Wang hit the big time at once with his unkempt, nonchalant chic.

In 2009, his diffusion line T by Alexander Wang was launched, followed by menswear in 2011. With success after success, Wang earned himself the role of Creative Director at Balenciaga in 2013, which he held for three years.
